For more than a century, the Jewish Federation and our partners have been here to support the community and help those in need. This is especially true during difficult times, and now is no different.
Our community’s Annual Campaign provides the basic infrastructure that supports our Jewish community. It delivers vital funding to sustain the Federation and its partners, ensuring critical programs and services are available. It is why we are here to respond when a crisis strikes, and it is why we are here for the community long after it passes.
In times of crisis, the Federation raises additional funds through emergency campaigns—typically for those impacted by hurricanes, wars, and other events somewhere else. This time, the urgency and rapidly increasing critical needs are right here in our own community. To help us through this crisis with additional resources for immediate distribution to those who need them right now, we ask you to also consider supporting our emergency Community Relief Fund.
Due to the pandemic and the resulting economic crisis, an estimated 1.2 million Jewish adults across North America are worrying about paying their next month’s housing costs; more than 500,000 are facing food insecurity, wondering how they will afford to feed their families; and countless others are making the painful choice between food, medicine, or their utility bills.
To address these increasing needs, a group of national donors partnered with Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) to create the Human Services Relief Matching Fund to raise tens of millions of dollars to support human service needs for communities across the country, including right here in the Greater Indianapolis area.
Because of the generosity of hundreds of donors, the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis is eligible to receive matching funds from this national program. Our community is eligible to receive $72,000 in matching funds for $144,000 raised in new and increased gifts during and long after this pandemic.
You have so many options when it comes to giving to the Federation. Find the right one for you.
