Prystowsky ATID Reunion

On Aug. 29, members of all five Prystowsky ATID groups met at the home of Todd and Marlo Katz. This was the first time that the cohorts had been together in many years and a unique opportunity for these alumni to meet each other. The Prystowsky ATID program is the Federation’s premier leadership development program, and the first cohort was launched in 2008. To date, there have been five cohorts, the latest concluding their experience with an Israel trip in April 2022.

Offer Korin, the founding chairperson of ATID, reminded everyone about the history of the program and thanked those present for their involvement in the community, which is always evolving. It has always been the goal of ATID to help the participants find their passion in the community, growing as leaders and volunteers. Bonnie and Eric Prystowsky shared their “why” for supporting the program–a strong belief in mentoring and developing leaders who can strengthen the Jewish community. Marc Swatez gave an update about the Federation and invited the group to continue to engage in leadership and philanthropy.

Margo Fox, who worked with Offer to plan the first ATID program, shared an impressive list of ATID alumni involvement. This includes, but is not limited to, serving on multiple committees of the Federation and boards of all of our local Jewish agencies; serving as presidents of every Jewish agency in Indianapolis and IU Hillel; joining the Jewish Federation of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet; participating in JFNA’s Fisher Flight; serving on the Board of JFNA’s National Women’s Philanthropy and also being involved with national and international organizations such as BBYO, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, The Jewish Agency for Israel, and more.

The Federation hopes to launch a sixth cohort within the next year, so if you are in your 30s or 40s, or know someone who is, and would like to make a difference in our Jewish community, please keep your eyes out in early 2024 for more information.

Thanks to our hosts, Todd and Marlo Katz and the committee, Debra Luffer Atlas, Hannah Herman Gazdacka, Jennifer Rosenberg, Jon Shapiro, Leslie Tobe, and Carly Turow for helping plan the evening.
