Safe Indy Works to Secure Grants for 2021

In early 2021, Safe Indy, in partnership with the Secure Community Network (SCN), will be investing significant time and resources in preparation for the 2021 Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) season.
The NSGP is administered by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency, and is designed to provide funding support for physical security enhancements and activities to nonprofit organizations that may be at high risk of terrorist attack.
The NSGP season will begin with a series of informational webinars hosted by SCN. Concurrently, Grant Mendenhall, along with his partners at DHS and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, will be providing direct assistance to community organizations interested in applying for a NSGP grant. This assistance will come in the form of required facility risk assessments and consultation throughout the grant writing process. All organizations in the Jewish community are being encouraged to apply for the NSGP. More information will be communicated to organizational leadership through the Community Security Committee soon.
