In spite of COVID-19 and social distancing, teens are still finding ways to connect! Local 8th Grader Simon Ekhaus submitted this picture of himself decked out in gear from Lost Tribe eSports, an initiative that connects the next generation of Jewish life and identity through eSports and the community of gaming.
“Half of the time I’m not even logging on to play a game, I’m just exited to chat and engage with new friends” says Simon, who started participating in Lost Tribe events during COVID-19. 
He notes making new friends from across the Midwest and from as far away as Israel. Simon’s mother Inna adds that “this connection opportunity gets together a bunch of Jewish kids in a safe place to talk about things that are fun and interesting to them. What’s better than that? It has changed the year completely.”
